Bono or Bill?

Time magazine recently announced their selection for Persons of the Year: U2's Bono and Bill and Melinda Gates.

I am sure a lot of people may think Bill Gates' last few years of philanthropy is just a way to improve his public image and that of his world-dominating company, yet the fact is he is using his wealth to make an incredible difference in the world.

Personally though, I think Time could have done better to have one single person on the cover. Bono.

Forget about whether or not you agree with the political policies he advocates. Here is a man who has shown what is possible for all human beings. He is living as a visionary. He has seen and committed himself to an "impossible vision." Eliminating Poverty.

Bono is the co-founder of the One: The Campaign to Make Poverty History.

To all those visionaries and revolutionaries who wish to make a positive difference in the world, we watched a hero in action this year. There is a role model.

What do you think? Add your comments to this blog.
